④ New Initiatives in COVID-19

Now, we will introduce initiatives in the COVID-19 pandemic for the Property Management & Operation business.

First is the Tokyu Stay Shinjyuku East Side, which opened in August.
As shown on the left side, part of the reception and cloak areas have been made unmanned, making it possible to handle checking-in and other duties without physical contact with others.
In the future, we will verify the accompanying cost reduction effects and other results, and consider expanding the efforts to other facilities.

We also installed adjoining rental conference rooms and introduced concept rooms made in collaboration with Tokyu Hands.
Going forward, we will continue to pursue the expansion of our business while leveraging our Group strengths through means such as accommodating overnight-stay training needs that do not necessitate movement and offering guest rooms that propose new ways of spending time in hotels.

Next, we will cover Tokyu Sports Oasis.
Since COVID-19 started spreading, Tokyu Sports Oasis has seen a decrease in membership under its mainstay sports gym business and has been fighting an uphill battle.
Meanwhile, interest in health has been rising further, a byproduct of the COVID-19 pandemic.
With that in mind, we adopted the policy of expanding our target customers from mostly sports gym users to all kinds of people with an interest in health.

We will proceed to expand our business outside of preexisting sports gym-centered confines, such as by offering “weltag” which enable users to choose health partners to receive online lessons from and form teams on their own in order to achieve their goals, and health and productivity management services aimed at corporations and local governments.
