3-4. Urban Development③ Attractiveness of Shibuya(1)

I would now like to review the attractiveness of the Shibuya area again, on which we are focusing.

Since its foundation, the Tokyu Group has been headquartered in Shibuya and has promoted development while placing importance on Shibuya as our base.
Shibuya is centered on Shibuya Station, which services as many as 2.86 million incoming and outgoing passengers per day on average and has strong potential in the aspects of Businesses, Residences and Entertainment.
In the aspect of Businesses, IT companies have gathered here and made Shibuya a major office area in Tokyo.
In the aspect of Residences, the downtown has affluent residential areas in its vicinity such as Shoto, Daikanyama and Aoyama, where many embassies are located, and a lot of foreigners live there.
With regard to the Entertainment aspect, as you know, Shibuya is one of the most popular commercial and cultural towns where numerous trends are generated with its high information dissemination power, not only in Japan but also throughout Asia and other parts of the world.

Going forward, the Company, as a member of the Tokyu Group, is promoting the further activation of the entire town through the redevelopment of Shibuya, taking advantage of the area’s potential to create Entertainment City SHIBUYA.
